About Us
Pierce County Library System’s 17 locations and three bookmobiles bring people together, enrich lives and provide children and adults with opportunities to learn.
- The libraries offer families and children fun, education and free access to more than a million books, CDs and films, and numerous programs to help kids read and do their homework.
- Libraries are key to successful communities and families.
The Board of Trustees of Pierce County Library System has significant policy and fiduciary responsibility. Library boards have two kinds of duties: 1) legal powers invested by Washington law and 2) broader responsibilities not set by law but required for the efficient management of the library.
