About Us
The Pierce County Library System’s 17 branches and three bookmobiles bring people together, enrich lives and provide children and adults with opportunities to learn.
- The libraries offer families and children fun, education and free access to more than a million books, CDs and films, and numerous programs to help kids read and do their homework.
- Libraries are key to successful communities and families.
The Board of Trustees of the Pierce County Library System has significant policy and fiduciary responsibility. Library boards have two kinds of duties: 1) legal powers invested by Washington law and 2) broader responsibilities not set by law but required for the efficient management of the library.
