No one can have too many friends, including Pierce County Library System. Friends of the Library groups support their community library in many ways, from raising funds through book sales and other activities, to advocating and raising awareness of library services, needs and goals in the community. Being a Friend is a chance to help your local library better serve its community. |
Find great prices on used books, CDs, DVDs and more during periodic sales hosted by Friends groups at many libraries. Some groups also have ongoing sales at their library. Ask at your library for more information.

For more information, search the calendar. Under Find Events, check the box for used book sales.
Friends of the Library members work with local Library staff to sponsor events, such as children's programs, and to raise funds for books, furnishings, equipment and activities that the library cannot ordinarily provide, and to enjoy the company of others who love to read and support the discovery and exchange of information and ideas in their community.
Contact your local Pierce County Library to learn about joining a Friends group in your area.
Donate your used books to be sold at the Friends' sales. Libraries accept donations during all regular open hours.
Friends of the Library meetings are open to everyone. Contact your local Library for dates and times.
Twice a year, Friends members from all community libraries are also invited to get together for a morning of news and an exchange of ideas and success stories at Friends Connection.
The next Friends Connection meeting will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013.
