Kate McGraw, with plans to head to Medical school in the fall, find herself accepting an Internship at Tasty magazine due to her Aunt Victoria's insistence. Summer in New York City working for a fashion magazine with tons of launch parties, free swag, and a potentially hot photographer boyfriend turns out to be fun. The only problem is the body count around Kate keeps rising, and some of her co-workers do strange things. Blood is the New Black is a great take on fashion and it's victims. Author Valerie Stivers ends the book on a satisfying note, while still leaving room for a sequel.
