Pierce County Library System offers a fun and easy way to sample new popular books online, through the Online Book Clubs.
Anyone who has an e-mail account may have access to this free service.
You may join any of the clubs for which the Pierce County Library System has made arrangements. See offered clubs list below and on the sign-up page at DearReader's site. (website: www.supportlibrary.com)
Select from the offered online clubs and enter your e-mail information.
Each Monday through Friday a short portion of a selected book, beginning with chapter one, will automatically be sent to your e-mail account. Each day's portion is approximately five minutes worth of reading, covering two to three chapters by the end of the week. Each week a new book is started.
If you then would like to continue reading any of these titles, you can get a copy of the book by placing a hold on the title via Pierce County Library System's online library catalog, or by visiting your local library.
You will receive a chapter via e-mail each day (Monday-Friday) for each club that you join.
This Online Book Clubs service is free to you, and you can unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions that accompany each e-mail. Instructions for unsubscribing can be found at the bottom of each e-mail sent.
