New Milton/Edgewood Library
Library moving to Surprise Lake Square
The Milton/Edgewood Pierce County Library is moving to Surprise Lake Square to better serve you and your growing communities. In fall 2010 you will enjoy services from a larger, more centrally located library at the Surprise Lake Square.
In the new, centrally located library, Pierce County Library System will deliver more up-to-date services. In 2009, as the Library System developed Pierce County Library 2030: a Facilities Master Plan, Milton and Edgewood residents and community leaders called for a more centrally located and accessible library. The Surprise Lake space is available, and the Library is bringing this opportunity to residents now.
Features of the new centrally located library?
- Twice as much space: 3,300 to 6,650 sq. feet.
- Easier to find books and materials.
- Meeting and conference rooms.
- More computers.
- Added space for children and teens.
