| Library Clubs are offered for youth at several branches. Most meet monthly (some more frequently) to review books or anime movies, play games and discuss and have fun together.

Our county-wide Teen Writing Contest, "Our Own Words", is very popular. Youth in grades 7-12 are eligible to submit their original short stories and poems during the contest period February 10 -March 22, 2008.

In November, 2007, children worldwide shared Head, Body, Legs: A Story from Liberia, a folktale about cultural diversity and co-operation. After hearing or reading the story, children in grades K-6 in each country have participated in an international art project. In March, 2008, each participant received a Head, Body, Arms and Legs artwork packet decorated by children around the world. See pictures and read more>> |
