New! After December 19, you will not need The Play Pass. The libraries will no longer check out Play Passes.
December 20: the museum closes to prepare for a new admission prrogram. You can visit and be admitted by Pay As You Will. You pay what you can during a visit. This helps ensure that every child gets a chance to play.
January 2012: the Children’s Museum of Tacoma will open in a new location at 1501 Pacific Avenue.
The PLAY PASS is your ticket to a whole new world of learning! The museum’s imaginative environment allows children to test their independence and gain self-confidence through the arts, sciences and creative play.
At the Children’s Museum of Tacoma adults will find tools to understand and support children’s learning. Discover the power of play in the lifelong journey of learning!
Patrons of the Pierce County Library System or the Tacoma Public Library can check out the Children’s Museum of Tacoma PLAY PASS using their respective, valid library system card.
One PLAY PASS may be checked out per person, per loan period.
Present the PLAY PASS at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma’s front desk and receive up to 4 free regular admissions. Passes are not honored for group tour visits.
An adult must accompany children at all times.
Pierce County Library System locations will loan passes for 3 weeks with a $0.15/day overdue fine. Tacoma Public Library locations will loan passes for 7 days with a $0.20/day overdue fine. If PLAY PASS is lost a fee may be charged.
Pass users must adhere to the rules of the Children’s Museum of Tacoma, Pierce County Library System and Tacoma Public Library. Passes cannot be reserved or renewed.
