One World, Many Stories @ Your Pierce County Library! Thank you for participating in the journey to your Pierce County Library for summer reading adventure! Kids and teens checked out great books to read all summer, entered weekly drawings, won prizes and participated in fun, free events. See you next summer!

Keep a reading log, write your own book reviews and win fantastic prizes. Look below to find special information for your age group.

Remember: Reading can mean listening to someone read to you, reading on your own, or listening to a recorded or downloaded book.

Wee Readers Ages 0 - 3

Wee Readers for Summer

Pick up a reading log at any Pierce County Library or download a reading log.

On your reading log, count one object for each day that you read, and count one object for each library visit. When you have counted all the objects, bring your reading log into your nearest Pierce County Library for a prize.

Kids Ages 3 - 12

One World, Many Stories @ Your Pierce County Library

Pick up a kids reading map or tweens reading passport at any Pierce County Library, or download a reading passport.

When you have read 10 hours, travel into your nearest Pierce County Library with your reading map or passport for your special prize, while supplies last.

Teens Ages 12 - 18

You Are Here @ Your Pierce County Library

Pick up a reading log at any Pierce County Library or download a reading log.

When you complete 10 reading-related activities, return the entry form from your reading log to any Pierce County Library and receive a prize, while supplies last. The Library will include your entry form in drawings throughout the summer.

Events @ Your Library

Wee Readers 0-3: Participate with your child and enjoy books, action rhymes, knee bounces, songs and more. For libraries and times, see Summer Stories for Babies and Toddlers on the schedule of events for East Pierce County Libraries and West Pierce County Libraries.

Kids 3-12: Explore the world of stories in all kinds of events. Take imaginary journeys, hear animal tales, create crafts and find treasures. Find summer fun on the schedule of events for East Pierce County Libraries and West Pierce County Libraries.

Teens 12-18: Venture into summer fun. Create jewelry, buttons and musical instruments, and decorate cakes, shoes and T-shirts. To see what's happening at your library, see teen summer reading events.
