Congratulations to Michelle Barreto, 18, Lakewood, Harrison Preparatory School, who created the winning library card design in Pierce County Library System’s first-ever teen library card design contest.
A total of 110 teens submitted entries in the contest. Professional artists selected five finalists from these entries, and 1,240 people cast votes online to select the winner.
The winning design will appear on a new library card for use by teens and all ages.
Watch for the free teen-designed library cards during the Library’s third annual card drive this October.
