Teen Library Card Design Contest

Get a free library card designed by the winner of Pierce County Library’s teen library card contest. Congratulations to Dillon Hadaway, 14, Buckley, White River High School, who created the winning library card design using the medium of computer-generated art. A total of 138 teenagers living or attending school in Pierce County submitted entries using colored pencil, pen, paint, camera, or computer-generated art. A total of 3,670 Pierce County residents selected the winner by voting online at the Library’s website, choosing from 13 finalists selected previously selected by professional artists. The winning design, along with the artist’s name, will appear on a new library card for use by people of all ages, available during the fifth annual card drive this October. |
