  • Safe dating workshops for teens and parents at Sumner Pierce County Library - 5/24/2013
  • TACOMA – Teenagers and their parents will learn about teen dating and healthy relationships during free events at Sumner Pierce County Library, 1116 Fryar Ave., starting Thursday, June 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Celebrate early learning at Lakewood Pierce County Library - 5/23/2013
  • TACOMA – Join in the dedication of the Steve Albers Early Learners area during a free event at Lakewood Pierce County Library, 6300 Wildaire Road S.W., on Saturday, June 8. The dedication of the Steve Albers Early Learning area is at 11 a.m., with free events starting after the ceremony and running until 3 p.m.

  • TACOMA – Teenagers are invited to have fun learning during free events at South Hill Pierce County Library, 15420 Meridian E., from June through September.
  • Pierce County Library System wins regional award - 5/16/2013
  • TACOMA, WA – Pierce County Library System (Library System) will receive a regional community leadership award from Region 111 of the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) on Friday, May 17. WASA’s Region 111 membership is comprised of all Pierce County public school districts. The Association is recognizing Pierce County Library for its partnership efforts with Franklin Pierce Schools (School District), just south of Tacoma.

  • TACOMA – Talented teenage artists and writers demonstrated their creative skills through original poetry, short story, drawing and photography in Pierce County Library System’s Teen Writing & Art Contest – Our Own Expressions.
