You and your book group have access to many different book club kits, free with your Pierce County Library card.
Book club kits provide your group members with books to read, as well as author biographies, book reviews and discussion questions.

Reserve a book club kit for a two month period, with your Pierce County Library card. You may make reservations up to 12 months in advance.

About the kits
Book club kits include:
- 15 copies of the same title.
- Author biographical information.
- Reviews.
- Discussion questions.
- Helpful hints on facilitating a group discussion.
- Large storage container.
Book club kits weigh approximately 15 lbs.
Pierce County Library Foundation sponsors this special service.
Selection criteria for book club kits
- Book is currently in print and available in paperback.
- Author biographies, literary reviews, and reading guides are readily available.
- Book has received good reviews and promotes discussion.
- Authors represent a variety of ethnic populations and/or countries.
- Publication dates vary and cover a variety of time periods that include classics as well as contemporary literature.
- Selection includes both nonfiction and fiction titles.
- Titles appeal to a wide reading audience.
- Other library systems and/or book groups have recommended the book.
