Accelerated Reader - Read the Books.com A service for AR lists for local area elementary and middle schools. Individual book titles link directly to our catalog, to check availability or place holds.

The following are premium online book selection tools via our E-Sources on-line collection.
E-Sources are free to you from branches and home, but require a valid library card for home access.
Novelist offers browseable lists such as notable books and award list books by genre, articles on popular writers and literary trends, "Read-Alike" author suggestions, and expanded genre lists for various reading levels.
Novelist also has a searchable database which allows you to indicate specific books, authors or topics you have enjoyed in the past.
FYI - Data from Novelist can also be accessed directly from many fiction book records the library catalog. Use the Full Display tab then look at the right-hand sidebar for the Novelist link.
What Do I Read Next? offers searching based on author, series, genre and keyword, plus a wide variety of topic and story setting parameters to look for likely candidate books.
WDIRN? also offers a large number of recommended title lists, award-winners and best-sellers, archived from 1990s forward.

Other Internet book-related sites, including Publisher's Weekly web site and What's Next? (a series resource from KDL), are available via Books & Literature section of our Research Corner's Subject links.
Your local library has many books for reader's advisory such as Genreflecting, Now Read This, or What Do I Read Next which suggest titles based on genre, story setting, character type and similar authors.
