The Pierce County Library System is pleased to offer access to a fun and easy way to sample new popular books online, through the Online Book Clubs from DearReader.com.
This service is free to you and is available to anyone who has an e-mail account.
Each day (Monday-Friday) you can read approximately five minutes worth of a book, covering the first two to three chapters by the end of the week. Each week a new book is started.
You may join any of the clubs for which the Pierce County Library System has made arrangements. See offered clubs list below and on the sign-up page at DearReader's site. (Web site: supportlibrary.com.)
Select from the offered online clubs and enter your e-mail information.
Each Monday through Friday a short portion of a selected book, beginning with chapter one, will automatically be sent to your e-mail account. Each day's portion is approximately five minutes worth of reading, covering two to three chapters by the end of the week. Each week a new book is started.
If you then would like to continue reading any of these titles, you can obtain a copy of the book by placing a hold on the title via the Pierce County Library System's online library catalog, or by visiting your local library.
You will be sent a chapter via e-mail each day (Monday-Friday) for each club that you join. You may unsubscribe from any club, at any time.
This Online Book Clubs service is free to you, and you can unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions that accompany each e-mail. Instructions for unsubscribing can be found at the bottom of each e-mail sent.
