Clare
I just re-read this book after reading several of this series over the years. I still enjoyed that original glimpse of a society a quite a bit different than my own. For example, the concept of witchcraft, (or more accurately, peoples' response to such a concept), as something one would need to consider to understand about a person when investigating is definitely something outside my normal"box" of thinking! But Mma Ramostwe's use of knowledge of her society is put to good use.

I have read all of the existing books in this series and am anxiously awaiting The Miracle at Speedy Motors.
