More than 300 people explored what it means to be 55 and up at Staying Connected, Living Fuller @ 55+. Pierce County Library System presented this lively, free public event on Saturday, May 3, 2008.
Keynote speaker Joe Piscatella spoke on how to “Make Your Health Last as Long as Your Money.” Participants gave his presentation positive reviews and they reportedly left thinking about food choices and healthy lifestyles.
Rick Steves’ Europe Through the Back Door marketing coordinator presented “Travel Skills for Savvy Seniors.” This popular program taught future adventurers how to travel smartly, pack lightly and stretch dollars to maximize travel values.
Pierce County Library and more than 40 other community organizations provided valuable information and resources, and listened to helpful feedback about how the Library can better serve 55+ populations.
