What can I do with my library card?
Pierce County Library System offers a wide range of books, music, movies and online resources, all available to you with a Pierce County Library card.
Apply for a card online and the Library will issue you a temporary card number immediately. Reserve books and materials, access e-sources and download audiobooks and e-books right away. Get a permanent card when you visit any Pierce County Library. Read more >>

Check out up to 100 books, CDs, DVDs and more with a current valid Pierce County Library card. For your convenience, all libraries have an outside bookdrop so you can return items 24/7. Read more >>
Renew materials
- Via Internet (24/7) - In the Library Catalog, log into your account and select the items you wish to renew.
- By phone - Call from any phone 24/7 to use automated phone line renewal. Renew by phone: 253-535-9300.
- At a library - At an Express Checkout station, check out the item again with the same card. A staff member can also renew the item for you. Read more >>
