Online Book Reviews
Sign up for any of the available reading programs online, and write a review on a book in that program - even assign a star rating.
Create an account and log in. Once logged in, you will be taken to the Reading Dashboard. Here you may view book lists assigned to the program in which you are registered, write new book reviews, and read evaluations you previously written. You can write book reviews on any book, or you may review a book from an assigned book list.
Please note: If you write a review on a book that is not on an assigned book list for others to see, it will not show up on the public book list - it will only be saved to your account under My Book Reviews. To have your review shown on the public book list page, write a review on a book assigned to the book list for your program. View available titles by clicking the book list link on the Reading Dashboard.
Steps in writing a review for an assigned title in a book list
- View available book lists by clicking on "Book Lists" from the Reading Dashboard.
- Select a list to view.
- Under the title of the book you wish to review, click Write a Book Review.
- This page is where you write your review, and the title field will already be populated with the book you selected.
- Write your review.
- Enter your age.
- Select a rating.
- Leave the box checked "make your review public." If you do not want your review to be seen by the public, unselect the box.
- Finally, click "save."
Thank you and congratulations! You have now written a book review.
If you would like to see your review, go to My Book Reviews in the reading program, or go to the book list to see your review on Pierce County Library's Web site.
