
Do you have outstanding fines or fees due to overdue or lost books or other Pierce County Library System items?
Pierce County Library wants to welcome you back to the Library and help wipe your slate clean during its first Amnesty Week Oct. 4 - 10, 2009.
The Library is offering this one-time only opportunity to help respond to the economic downturn and reduce further pressure to people who may have library fines or fees, and welcome them back to the Library.
Ask Library staff to wipe your record clean. They will do so, no questions asked. If your card is inactive, staff will issue you a new card at no charge. If for other reasons your account has gone to the Library’s collection agency, staff will direct you to the Library’s Finance Department.
Bring a replacement book or item of the same or similar title to any Pierce County Library. For example, you lost “Gone with the Wind,” bring in another copy of that book or a similar book. You may also pay the cost of the book to the Library.
Bring the item to any Pierce County Library. Staff will take the item, no questions asked and wipe your record clean.
Bring the borrowed book to any Pierce County Library. Staff will wipe your record clean.
Ask Library staff for the business card to the Library’s Finance Department. Finance staff will work with you to try to resolve your account.
