DIY exhibitors get a 6-foot table with two chairs and Wi-Fi access. Please specify if electricity is required.
Exhibits must meet the following requirements:
Staffed and open during official advertised hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Feature your DIY process.
Content must be family friendly and appropriate for viewing by all ages.
Hands-on and/or interactive activities are highly encouraged.
DIY exhibitors under the age of 16 must have a supervising adult present for the duration of the event.
Tables, chairs and Wi-Fi are provided.
Access to electric outlets is available, but limited. We will do the best we can for those who need electricity.
Bring any extension cords and power strips that you may require.
DIY exhibitors may begin setting up at 9:30 a.m., 1.5 hours before the event.
DIY exhibitors may not begin take-down until 4 p.m.
Areas must be clean and litter-free before leaving.
DIY exhibitors are permitted to sell items and promote businesses/organizations within defined parameters:
Handmade or homemade items related to your topic or business is allowed. No “garage sale” or “flea market” items are allowed.
Sharing--not selling--commercially packaged food--not homemade--for consumption is permitted.
Space dedicated to merchandise promotion shall not consist of more than one-third of the total exhibit area.
All proceeds from sales go to the DIY exhibitor.
Collection, reporting and payment of Washington state sales tax is solely the responsibility of the DIY exhibiter. Pierce College administration and DIYfest organizers accept no responsibility for sales tax collection.
The DIYfest organizers reserve the right to remove any item deemed objectionable for any reason.
No smoking, alcoholic beverages or pets are permitted at any time.
Open flames are strictly prohibited.
No caustic chemicals allowed inside.
No nails, screws or staples may be put in the walls, floor or ceiling.
DIY exhibitors are responsible for protecting their property from damage or loss.
Walkways must remain clear at all times.
Food preparation is OK for demonstration purposes, but cannot be shared with the public for safety reasons.
