Check Out Washington
Check out a Discover pass for free admission to State Parks and other state lands
As part of a cooperative project between Washington State Parks, Washington State Parks Foundation, the Washington State Library and other public libraries around the state, Pierce County Library customers have the opportunity to borrow a Check Out Washington backpack. The backpack contains a Discover Pass, binoculars, field guides, and local State Park maps.

Visit your Pierce County Library to check out a Check Out Washington backpack, using a valid library card.

Pass users must adhere to the rules of Washington State Parks.

Please note that Discover Passes work only at Washington State Parks and some other state lands, they will not be sufficient on Federal lands such as Mount Rainer or Olympic National Parks.
