The 6 skills of early literacy are what children know about reading and writing before they begin to read and write. Our goal is to build a reading house – a house that is strong and sound and filled with a lifetime of joyful and informative reading – the 6 skills of early literacy are the foundation blocks for that reading house. |

Early Literacy Flipbook
Each postcard contains the definition of an early literacy skill as well as ideas and activities to help develop that skill in young children from birth to age 5.
Early literacy flipbook postcards
Cut them out.
Laminate and hole-punch them.
Loop them together with ribbon or a slip-ring.
For more fun, paste pictures or drawings on the back of the postcards before laminating.
