You are eligible for a free library card if you live or own property in unincorporated Pierce County or a city or town annexed to Pierce County Library System – Bonney Lake, Buckley, DuPont, Eatonville, Edgewood, Fife, Gig Harbor, Lakewood, Milton, Orting, South Prairie, Steilacoom, Sumner, University Place or Wilkeson – or you live on a military base, tribal land or national park within unincorporated Pierce County.
If you live in Puyallup or Tacoma, you may also get a free card through borrowing agreements between the libraries.
If you are residing temporarily in Pierce County, such as visiting family members, exchange student or temporarily assigned soldier, you may get a library card for up to one year.
If you are eligible for a library card, you can also get a library card for your organization.
