Pick up books, movies and more at Library Curbside!
The library buildings are closed to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and we are here to serve you with library services at the curb.
Download the Library’s Mobile App – curbside pickup will be launched through the app where you can add your card, place holds, renew materials and connect to research. You can also get Library Curbside through the website or by calling a library.
Track your Summer Reading and sign up online at http://summerreading.pcls.us.
We’re very glad to offer curbside service.
Current locations for Library Curbside include Buckley, DuPont, Eatonville, Fife, Gig Harbor, Key Center, Lakewood, Milton/Edgewood, Orting, Parkland/Spanaway, South Hill, Summit, Sumner, Tillicum and University Place. We plan to offer Library Curbside at additional Pierce County Library locations this summer.
All customers must wear a face covering to receive service and socially distance while on library grounds.
Follow these steps to use Library Curbside:
The Library System will not assess fines for overdue books and materials for the remainder of 2020 given the ongoing economic burden brought on by the pandemic as well as the overall disruption to library service.
For now, we extended all due dates for books and materials to Aug. 24, 2020.
Also, we extended the date for items you may have placed on hold to Aug. 31. If you no longer want the items you put on hold, please call your local Pierce County Library or 253-548-3300 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also cancel or put your hold on hold on your own. Learn how.
Book Drops Open
Book drops are open at all locations.
Free Wi-Fi service is on for limited use outside of the buildings in parking lots. Please be sure to social distance – keeping a minimum of six feet away from others when you are in the parking lots and respecting all library instructions. Connectivity issues may arise as Wi-Fi coverage is intended for use inside the library buildings. Staff is not available to assist with connecting with this service. If you need assistance, please contact your mobile service provider or other support.
