All 19 full-service Pierce County Libraries are open with in-building services so people of all ages can browse bookshelves and find books and movies on their own.
Pick up books, movies and more at Library Curbside, available at 19 of the Library System's 20 locations!
Masks required in library buildings (5 and older). Following Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department’s directive and the State of Washington’s order, the Pierce County Library System requires the public and staff, regardless of vaccination, to wear masks to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
Children ages 2-4 are strongly encouraged to wear a mask per the Department of Health.
Also, per public health directives, masks are required outdoors where physical distancing isn’t possible.
Pick up a free COVID-19 test kit from any Pierce County Library by calling during business hours. Free test kits are available through a partnership with the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department. Take home the kit and take the test in the privacy of your own home at a time that works for you. The kit includes simple instructions to safely take the test and drop it at a UPS Store or UPS drop box. Do not use the curbside form to request a test kit.

Please note: If you are picking up a print job, you will have to call library staff to receive your prints to ensure customer confidentiality. Please follow the instructions placed on the library curbside tables outside of each library building.
