Masks required in library buildings (5 and older). Following Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department’s directive and the State of Washington’s order, the Pierce County Library System requires the public and staff, regardless of vaccination, to wear masks to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
Children ages 2-4 are strongly encouraged to wear a mask per the Department of Health.
Also, per public health directives, masks are required outdoors where physical distancing isn’t possible.
You may not be able to browse the physical collections, but you can order books, movies, and more through the online catalog and have it delivered to a branch location close to you. Once you receive a hold notification, use the Library Curbside pick-up form to schedule a pick-up. Check out our step by step guides to help you:

Mobile printing can be done from your own computer or device, even from home (requires an internet connection). Prints are limited to 8.5 x 11” paper, and customers will receive $3.00 in free prints per week (30 black and white; six color). The cost per printed page is 10 cents per black and white page and 50 cents per color page. We are currently not accepting any form of payment for printing so please do not print more than the free amount allowed.

Please note: If you are picking up a print job, you will have to call library staff to receive your prints to ensure customer confidentiality. Please follow the instructions placed on the library curbside tables outside of each library building.
You may send print jobs from your personal internet-connected device using the web portal links or email addresses below or using the PrinterOn Mobile App. Download app here: Android | Apple. Make sure you select the same branch location as the one for your appointment.
